Provided there is no conflict we accept instructions on behalf of Landlords or Tenants to act in obtaining the best possible settlement.

Whilst generally these matters are settled by detailed research and negotiation, we also act in the capacity of Expert Witness in the event of continuing dispute.  We are members of the RICS Helpline and provide initial advice free of charge to any party faced with a rent review or lease renewal.

Business Rates
We advise on business rates liability in relation to all kinds of properties.  Because of the possibility of rating liability going up as well as down as a result of an appeal, careful appraisal of assessments is necessary as is meeting the stringent time limits and deadlines now associated with rating appeals.

All commercial properties are subject to revaluation every 5 years.  Individual properties can be revalued for varying factors such as extensions or changes in trading patterns.  We believe that it is imperative that occupiers consider challenging their assessments.  We carry out a detailed survey of the property, analyse all the relevant evidence and explore all avenues to ensure that our clients’ rating liability is continually kept to a minimum.
